ABOUT THE ESTATE
Is the estate accessible to guests with reduced mobility?
In general, the estate has been designed to provide as many wheelchair-friendly areas as possible.
The Premium Room Rocha, with its own step-free entrance from the rear garden, has been specially designed for guests with reduced mobility. Its spacious en-suite bathroom is fully wheelchair accessible and features a large walk-in shower with level access.
By unlocking the secure internal connecting door, the room provides direct access to Casa da Terra, where the kitchen, living room, dining area, guest toilet and utility room are all accessible. Together, these spaces offer a generous, comfortable environment with plenty of room to move around freely.
The other ground-floor bedrooms are also accessible to guests with reduced mobility, although their bathrooms are of a standard design and are not specifically adapted.
The front garden and swimming pool can be reached without steps (apart from one very small step) from Casa da Água as well as from the Premium Rooms Rocha and Pôr do Sol. Please note, however, that some of the ramps are relatively steep due to the property’s natural hillside setting.
The upper floors, rooftop terrace and some outdoor terraces are accessible by stairs only.
Please also note that the estate does not provide specialised mobility equipment such as hoists, powered lifting devices or similar assistive equipment.
We will, of course, be delighted to help you plan a stay that best suits your individual needs. Please don’t hesitate to contact us before booking.
