Céu
Entre €105 & €195 per night
Named Céu (“Sky”), this spacious Premium Room, decorated in light and shades of blue, is perhaps the most prestigious accommodation at Penedo do Bufo. It offers 50 m² of beautifully appointed indoor space, complemented by a private 90 m² terrace, partly shaded by a wooden pergola. The entrance hall can be used either as a workspace or as a nursery for a baby.
Casa da Água
Entre €190 & €345 per night
Casa da Água (“Water House”) faces the fountain in the main garden. Its soft aqua-green colour palette and pastel-toned photographs are inspired by the surrounding villages. It offers 113 m² of indoor living space, with the option of adding the 50 m² Premium Room Céu, located directly above.
Pôr do Sol

including access to the shared kitchen.Surrounded by ancient olive, carob and cork oak trees, the Premium Room “Pôr do Sol” (“Sunset”) offers a peaceful retreat immersed in nature. Birdsong and the warm hues of the setting sun create an atmosphere of exceptional tranquillity. This elegant en-suite room offers 37 m² of comfortable living space.
Casa do Forno
Entre €70 & €110 per night
including access to the shared kitchenThe “Forno” (“Bread Oven”) Room, measuring 16.5 m², is housed within the estate’s former bread oven. Intimate and full of character, it is decorated in warm, golden tones inspired by freshly baked bread, blending the charm of traditional furnishings with the tranquillity of its surroundings. Outside, the gentle murmur of the nearby fountain provides a soothing soundtrack to peaceful nights.
Casa da Terra
Entre €190 & €345 per night
“Casa da Terra” (“Earth House”) is the estate’s main house. Antique furniture and carefully selected décor are complemented by beautiful handcrafted pieces from the Algarve, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. Including the Premium Room “Rocha”, the house offers 151 m² of living space. When the entire estate is reserved exclusively, it can be extended with the 48 m² “Nosso Quarto”, located on the first floor.
Rocha

including access to the “Cozinha Grande”The Premium Room Rocha (“Rock”) takes its name from the red clay rock in the rear garden. Furnished with antique pieces inherited from our families, it combines timeless charm with authentic character. Offering 37 m² of living space, Rocha can be reserved either as part of Casa da Terra or as an independent accommodation.
Floresta

including access to the “Cozinha Grande”The Floresta (“Forest”) Dormitory features warm wooden finishes complemented by soft aqua-green accents around the windows. Designed for both the young and the young at heart who enjoy sharing a spacious living environment, it offers 61 m² of indoor living space, complemented by more than 100 m² of private terraces.

Our secluded estate extends over more than one hectare, where landscaped gardens, a large swimming pool and spacious terraces invite you to relax and unwind. Every stone and every centuries-old tree tells the story of an unspoilt Algarve, far removed from the pace of everyday life.
Just a short walk away, the tiny hamlet of Cerro das Casas reflects the simplicity of traditional rural life, untouched by mass tourism. Directly opposite the estate rises the impressive Rocha da Pena, a protected natural park and one of the highlights of the Algarvensis Geopark, whose exceptional geological and cultural heritage is in the process of receiving UNESCO recognition.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and cycling, with countless trails to explore. Nearby villages come alive throughout the year with traditional markets and local festivals, while the Atlantic coast, just 30 minutes away by car, offers magnificent beaches, dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and coastal walks.

Penedo Bufo Villa is a truly luxurious place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with wonderful views and a fantastic pool area. The landscaping is tasteful and thoughtfully done, and the surroundings are peaceful and relaxing.
We also enjoyed going for a morning run to Salir and back — it was such a lovely experience and a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Everything was comfortable, stylish and thoughtfully arranged. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Penedo Bufo Villa to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in the Algarve.

There were six of us plus a child, and we had the whole house to ourselves. The first thing that surprised us was how incredibly beautiful the house itself is, as well as the area around it and the pool.
Once inside, I was also surprised by how spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed the rooms, kitchen and shared dining area are. We really enjoyed our stay.
The next day we spent the whole day by the pool. It’s a perfect size, the water is warm, and it’s surrounded by trees with a beautiful view. In the evening, we had a barbecue right next to the pool.

We had the most most incredible stay at Nicolas‘s home. The villa is even more beautiful than the photos and description, with a stunning pool, pristine interior, and a peaceful location surrounded by the mountains. It was the perfect place to relax while still being within easy reach of everything we wanted to do. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. By Taxi or Uber from Faro Airport
The estate is approximately 40 minutes from Faro International Airport. Expect to pay around €45 by taxi or €30 by Uber (indicative fares).
By Train from Lisbon
From Lisboa Oriente Station, trains run to Messines–Alte or Loulé, depending on whether you choose an Intercidadesor Alfa Pendular service.
The journey takes between 2 hours 45 minutes and 3 hours 15 minutes, with second-class fares typically ranging from €20 to €30.
By Coach

From Seville to Faro: approximately 2 hours 45 minutes, with fares from around €25.
